Man Utd News - Wayne Rooney will not be allowed to join one of Manchester United’s rivals for the Premier League title. Chelsea and Arsenal have both had offers for the striker rejected after Man United manager David Moyes insisted that
Rooney is not available for transfer list for any price.
Despite Moyes’ claim that he wants to keep Rooney, his reluctance to
give assurances that he will not employ the player in his favourite
central striking role has not been well received by Rooney. Manchester United don't want Rooney to come back to haunt them by strengthening another team in the Premier League.
Sunday Mirror Sport claim the champions will sell the 27-year-old – if he agrees to move abroad, although Chelsea are ready to make a second bid for Rooney at £ 30m - which will provide £ 5 million U.S. profit on what they paid for Everton nine years ago.
Manchester United vice-chairman Ed Woodward has said there are no plans to offer the £250,000-a-week striker a new contract. And, with just two years left on his current deal, United know his value will now begin to fall.
